Nelson Mandela and FW de Klerk (President of South Africa),
jointly receive the Nobel Peace Prize of 1993.
It is awarded to them "for their work for the peaceful termination
of the apartheid regime, and for laying the foundations for a new democratic
South Africa". South Africa is
proud of these two great men, working together for peace in our country.
